Greetings,

This is my intro to the world of blogging and in particular, food blogs. I feel like a debutante being introduced for the very first time to society so…be gentle!

I love food. I think of food the way one plays chess…thinking of up to two meals ahead or sometimes more.

I’ll try to show you my take on food through my experiences involving food, drink, friends, family, aquaintances and such.

I hope to share and learn all there is about food.

Let’s eat!

  1. Peter — congrats on making the jump into blogosphere. I look fwd to your dispatches.

While we’re on the topic of food, have you ever tried fried tomato balls/dumplings like they have in Santorini? It’s a specialty there and they can taste good. I say “can” because when I made them after I came back from Santorini I didn’t heat the oil hot enough and they were mushy. I also got hot oil splatches on my face and chest from this cooking endeavour. OUCH!

Will you be focussing on any particular type of food?

  2. Thanks for your encouragement & welcome! I have never tried the tomato dumplings and when I went to Santorini is was it my teens…fast food was the way back then.

I’ll take a look for some recipes (or your rendition) and I’d love to try them.

As for my food focus, I have a bias towards European & Mediterrean food but I love & wll try all cuisines.

I think you’ll find me to use seasonal ingredients and showcase recipes suited to the weather, festivities or mood.

For now, you’ll see alot of summer grilling and cookery.

Found an online recipe for them! I used a different one I think from a book I got. The one tip I can pass along is to make sure the oil is very hot before you immerse the tomato dumplings into the oil.

Be well. It’s almost time for my weekly UFC fix so I must run along.

    Paul
