
The holiday season is upon us and some indulgence will take place. Try this chocolate liqueur and serve it to guests during the holidays. This liqueur is very easy to make and when ready it does not have to be stored in your fridge.
I like adding some ice, a bit of milk and skaken – not stirred!
Chocolate Liqueur

250 gr. granulated sugar
250 gr. water
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 shot strong espresso coffee
2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate
1 1/4 cup brandy
Directions
- Into a medium pot, add the water, sugar. cocoa, espresso and over medium heat, bring up to a boil then simmer for 7 minutes.
- Take off the heat and add chocolate. Whisk until chocolate has melted. Add the brandy and stir in.
- Allow to cool. Pass through a strainer then transfer to a glass bottle and store in your liquor cabinet.
- Serve with an ice cube and a splash of milk, stir and enjoy.
Notes
- Since this liqueur doesn’t contain any milk or cream, it does not need to be placed in the fridge. Storage in your liquor cabinet is suffice.
