It’s summer time and peaches are almost in season here. However this dessert can be made year ’round as this recipe contains canned peaches. It’s ideal for making in the summer as no baking is involved. Beside the canned peaches, there are Savioardi biscuits, peach jam, cream cheese, vanilla pudding, whipped cream and toasted almonds.
Try this easy dessert next time you’re entertaining…your guests will ask for more (and the recipe).

24 savioardi biscuits
1 can (796 ml) canned peaches, drained
1/2 cup peach or apricot jam
454 gr. package of cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup icing/powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 package of instant vanilla pudding mix
2 1/2 cups cold milk
2 cups of whipped topping or whipped cream
approx. 1 cup of toasted sliced almonds
Directions
- For this recipe you will need a 9″x9″ deep pan. Line the bottom with your biscuits. After you’ve drained your peaches, chop into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl with jam and toss to coat. Arrange on the biscuits.
- Into a large bowl, add the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and mix on low then turn speed up a bit and mix until creamy. Now add the pudding mix and milk and mix on low for 2 minutes. Allow another 2 minutes for the mix to set.
- Empty the cream mixture over the peaches and spread evenly with a rubber spatula. Place in the fridge for an hour to set.
- Take your dessert out of the fridge and top with whipped topping/whipped cream and finally, the toasted sliced almonds. Serve immediately or make up to two days in advance.

Is the process same with fresh peaches?
It should work with fresh peaches…just use ripe ones. You will likely have to peel the skins as well.
Thank you , I will!
