Last Sunday I returned to St. Lawrence Market to again host another Greek Supper Club, this time featuring some taverna favourites plus some of my Greek dishes with a twist.

Chris Dedes of Majestic WInes and Spirits for pouring the wine, Fungi Hellas for sending over Greek truffles and Nisos Importing for the the Cretan olive oil and many other specialty Greek products we used in this menu.

Appetizers:

Drunken Greek Sausages in Mavrodaphne Wine

Spanakopita made with homemade phyllo

Gigantes (beans) with Montreal Smoked Meat

Bobota (Greek corn bread)

1st Course: Avgolemono (egg/lemon) Soup with Chicken Dumplings

2nd Course: Pastitsio (Pasta, Meat sauce, creamy Bechamel, Kefalotyri Cheese)

Main Course: Braised Beef Cheeks with Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Shaved Greek Truffles

Dessert: Apple Pie (Milopita) with Burnt Cream (Kazan Dibi) Ice Cream
