Christmas is once again near and that means it is time to gather with friends for sumptuous meals and splurge on some exquisite wines. This past Sunday I held a Christmas themed Greek Supper Club will featuring the comforting regional cuisine of Amyndeon (and Florina) and for the first time, one of Greece’s most distinguished wineries. Alpha Estate.
Alpha was named “Winery of the Year 2013” by Wine & Spirits Magazine. As noted by Joshua Greene, Publisher and Editor, “Alpha Estate’s range of exceptional wines makes it a great ambassador for Greece”.
I would like thank Tom Noitsis of Eurovintage for partnering to bring the best of Greek wines to my Supper Club guests, Krinos Foods Canada for furnishing many of the ingredients used in the menu and Nisos Importing for the Cretan olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
