I’m delighted to announce that I will be traveling to Chicago to cook at Chicago’s Avli Estiatorio (restaurant), located just north of the city in Winnetka. Proprietor Louie Alexakis and I have come up with a menu that will showcase dishes from my repertoire and some from the kitchens of Avli.

I’m also pleased to announce that the menu will be paired with the wines of Moraitis and Tselepos wineries.

Enjoy a multi-course meal with Peter Minaki of Kalofagas.ca and Louie Alexakis of Avli Restaurant on Thursday, January 9th for an evening of Greek cuisine. Appetizers will begin 7pm and the sit down dinner will be served shortly after.

Appetizers:

Bombidia and Prassotigania, paired with Tselepos Amalia Sparkling wine

Salad:

Politiki Salata, served with Techni Alpias Sauvignon Blanc

Main courses:

Roasted Pork Shoulder with Quince

Braised Lamb Kokkinisto with Smoked eggplant puree

Paired with Paros Moraitis

Dessert:

Trigona Panoramatos, served with Moraitis Liastos dessert wine

The cost for the evening is $60 per person and includes the dinner, paired wines, gratuity and all taxes.”
