I’m delighted to announce that Estiatorio Malena and myself are co-hosting a dinner titled “an evening in Greece”. Yorkville’s Malena has been entertaining dinner guests for almost two years with its Ionian cuisine – influenced from the Italian and Greek cuisine that hugs the Ionian Sea.
“An evening in Greece” takes place on Wednesday, March 21st with cocktails and meze being served at 6:30pm and dinner commencing at 7:30 pm. I approached Malena about this idea over a month ago and partners David Minicucci and Sam Kalogiros were ecstatic about the idea and after a few nights of thought…the wheels went into motion.
Malena’s head chef is Alex Bruveris and together we came up with a menu that oozes the spirit of Greece and its cuisine. Chef Alex and I will also being preparing this five-course meal and we want you to join us on March 21st.
We’re also delighted to have the wines provided by The Small Winemakers Collection who represent Gaia Wines here in Ontario. All the course will be paired with Gaia wines and not only am I excited to be sharing this visually exciting and delicious food but I’m also eager to see the reactions as our dinner guests enjoy fine Greek wine with the dinner.
Seating is limited as Malena will seat the evening’s guests in their private dining room on the second floor of this century home located on Avenue Road (just south of Davenport). Tickets are $95 which includes dinner and all the wine pairings (plus taxes and gratuities).
