Laiki Farmers Market, Halkidiki 2008

We’re into our first week of March and as is customary with Greeks, “Kalo Mina” or “good month”!

If you have a newsworthy item, event, happening, announcement that concerns Greek food, wine, culture, history or travel…I’d love to hear about it and share it here. Feel free to email me at truenorth67 AT gmail DOT com.

So, I’m confused – (nothing unusual for me) I just came back from Florida where there’s lots of advertising for Greek Festivals. I thought, ok, this would be fun – on further investigation I realized that each church does something very often that’s called a “festival”. What I thought I was finding was a very large gathering of tasting and culture much like Taste of the Danforth.
