Watermelon Sorbet
Jun 5th, 2007 | By Peter Minakis | Category: Dessert
With the warm (even hot weather) already here, I’m always looking for new ways to cool myself & guests during the Spring & Summer. I usually enjoy fruits as they are lighter and easier on the calories.
I had an extra watermelon and I didn’t want to let it go bad so I searched & found an easy & tasty recipe at www.epicurious.com.
I followed the recipe save for opting instead for orange juice and I steeped some mint leaves with the syrup concoction. I love mint and I’m trying to highlight all of the herbs in my garden.
If I may add…I used the food processor method as I do not have an ice cream maker.

Everyone enjoyed it and I’m sure I will try this with some other seasonal fruits….honeydew melon sorbet anyone?
