Microplane Rasp
May 31st, 2007 | By Peter Minakis | Category: Gadgets, MISCAfter years of “dilly-dallying” with cheap impersonators and awkward box graters, I finally bought myself a Microplane Rasp.
It’s long enough to sit over a pot or pan and you can grate right into the dish being prepared.
I bought this utensil from Kitchen Stuff Plus and although I like to keep the kitchen clutter-free of gadgets, this is a must have, especially for $20!

I finally got one myself this last year! I can’t believe I went so long without one :-)
Nicole, I love but but I’ve found the rasp grates Parmesan/Romano too fine…I like cheese with a little more texture, otherwise the rasp rocks!
Yeah, so far I use mine mostly for citrus zesting and nutmeg. I used it for parmesan sometimes, depends on what I’m using the grated parmesan for.
